We are very happy to announce that Jen Noblet of Yellow Dog Day Care
has offered to allow us to use her facility to do Agility training coming up in
the warmer months. These classes will be a little different than most
offered around in this area.
First and most important is that this is a new style of classes for us to offer.
As Best Paw Forward has never competed in this type of event we are
relatively new to the sport ourselves. So this posed a dilemma for us. As
we can not imagine charging the current rate for this type of class we have
decided to take a different approach.
BPF will be starting the Greater Portland Recreational Agility Club. We
decided to start a club to help build our knowledge and experience in the
sport of Agility where we work with others to build skills with this exciting
sport.
Best of all these classes will be run on donations to the club. All donations
received will be split 50/50 between improving the club and the Animal
Refuge League.
We felt the need to forward some of the donations to the Animal Refuge
League as they continue to promote humane, ethical ownership amongst
dog owners. Along with continued support for the adoption process of
many dogs.
For the portion going back to the club will be used for
purchasing/maintaining of all equipment, covering costs of rental area and
hopefully to help potential members compete locally or regionally.
Please continue to come back as we get closer and closer to the warm
weather months.
